Clear, clean, crisp Junmai Ginjo from the Murai Family Brewery in Aomori. This sake was brewed to feature the springwater melted off from the region’s ample annual winter snowfall, from which it was made. Sugidama comes across with a fairly subtle display of apple and pear Junmai Ginjo flavors that quickly take a back seat to let the overall structure shine. A gentle bitter backbone supports the fruit, along with a light reedy, grassy herbaceousness. 

Sugidama is an excellent sushi sake, as well as pairing nicely with fried foods, roast chicken, lentils, beets, and nutty cheeses.
