Dassai in one of Japan's most popular export sakes. The "45" refers to the amount of rice remaining after the initial polishing-refinement. To get a delicious sake with such a low polish-number for such a low price is one of the driving forces of Dassai's popularity. The sake drinks crisp and slightly silky, with predominant notes of green apple and green mango, backed up with a pleasant toasted, woody, anise seed note.
