I've been asking Kuze Fuku & Sons to bring in products made by their parent company, Kuze Fuku, in Japan, and they did not disappoint!!
Introducing Matcha Anko Butter spread! This is made with sweet white beans, cooked and pureed until they're soft and silky, flavored with two kinds of matcha, with a knock of butter added in for texture. This is perfect on toast, or as a topping for ice cream, on crackers for a little snack with tea, or maybe even as a filling for baked goods. It's sweet, but in that earthy way that Japanese sweets are often sweet, and the matcha flavor is very soft and bright. It reminds me a lot of yokan....like a spreadable yokan. This is a flavor profile that's not super common in the States, but is a staple in Japan.
Made in Japan
9.8 oz (This is a larger size than the yuzu jelly/orange marmalade)
Vegetarian, gluten-free, soy-free. Contains dairy.
